🍎 October Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Boone
Celebrating the Heart Behind the Classroom at Three Forks Schools
Some teachers leave an impression that lasts long after their students move on to the next grade. They don't just teach lessons, they build relationships, encourage confidence, and make every child feel seen, valued, and capable.
This October, I'm so excited to recognize Mrs. Boone, a first-grade teacher at Three Forks Schools, as our October Teacher of the Month!
When reading through her nominations, one thing became incredibly clear: Mrs. Boone has a gift for connecting with her students.
She takes the time to truly get to know each child, from their interests and personalities to their individual learning styles. She recognizes their strengths, meets them where they are, and finds ways to help each student grow and succeed.
And according to the parents who nominated her, that dedication doesn't stop when the school day ends.
A Teacher Who Goes Above and Beyond ❤️
One parent shared a story that perfectly captures the kind of teacher Mrs. Boone is.
Although her son has moved on to another classroom this year, Mrs. Boone made the effort to attend his flag football game on a Saturday. That simple act meant the world to him.
It's those little moments that leave the biggest impressions. Taking time out of her weekend to cheer on a former student speaks volumes about the relationships she builds and the genuine care she has for the kids who pass through her classroom.
Another parent shared:
"This is the second time we were blessed with her as our teacher. She is kind, caring and works so hard to reach each student. She is a truly amazing teacher and I hope when our next kiddo gets to 1st grade we get to be in her class again."
And another nomination highlighted the positive impact she's already made this school year:
"She has been such a positive impact on Willow since starting 1st grade. She's always smiling and chatting with the kids when I see her. I know Willow, and I'm sure her whole class, looks up to her. And as a parent, I truly appreciate her."
More Than Just a Teacher
What stands out most about Mrs. Boone is her ability to make learning personal.
Every child walks into a classroom with different strengths, challenges, interests, and needs. Having a teacher who recognizes those differences and takes the time to understand them is something truly special.
Mrs. Boone doesn't just focus on what her students need to learn. She focuses on who they are as individuals.
And when a child feels understood, supported, and encouraged, it can make all the difference in their confidence and love of learning.
Thank You, Mrs. Boone!
Mrs. Boone, thank you for the patience, kindness, energy, and heart you pour into your students every single day. Thank you for celebrating their strengths, showing up for them both inside and outside the classroom, and creating an environment where every child has the opportunity to shine.
